 Office of the Superintendent

April 3, 2020

Dear Parents and School Community Members,

I just want to take a moment to thank you for your continued flexibility and support as distance learning evolved this week. Our staff is doing remarkable work, and we all remain focused on advancing learning and providing the best experiences for our students. Please continue to provide feedback to your child’s teacher based on your child’s individual experience and do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s counselor or nurse if your child is having difficulty. The principals are available to address any concerns that the teachers, counselors, or nurses cannot resolve.

As we conclude three weeks of distance learning this afternoon, I think it’s fair to say that we are pleased with the timely arrival of spring break! Green Brook was kind enough to share a list of activities that offer families healthy ways to spend their time over the next week. We have added to it and posted the list on our website.

Also, as a public service, we are sharing a document from the NJ Department of Health, entitled NJ Residents with a Positive COVID-19 Test: Instructions and Next Steps.

Our wish is that everyone stays safe and healthy. Enjoy the time away from formal remote learning next week. We’ll be back in touch the week of April 13.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Very truly yours,

George P. Alexis
Superintendent
