October 9, 2020
Dear Parents and School Community Members,
We are writing to thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to explore improvements to our hybrid learning model. We will be sending you a survey early next week, asking for feedback on the current approach and some possible enhancements.
We have continued our evaluation of the technology issues and will be replacing the wireless access points, which is the next step in the upgrade of the network. The order unfortunately is being delayed by a lack of inventory until at least October 22. We are trying to expedite the process and will keep you updated.
At the state’s request, we also are providing information regarding COVID-19 related childcare costs and the COVID Alert NJ App, as well as a reminder to complete the NJ Census 2020 before the end of October.
Please remember that school is closed for students on Monday, October 12, and that Wednesday, October 14, will be an in-person instructional day for Cohort A. Our staff will be in school on Monday for professional learning and collaboration. Our teachers have been quite resourceful in navigating the ongoing connectivity issues, and we all appreciate their hard work and creativity.
The next board of education meeting is on October 22 at 7:30 pm. Have a wonderful long weekend with your families. Thank you.
Very truly yours,
George P. Alexis
